Has Adultwork changed?

Is it just me, or has Adultwork (www.adultwork.com) changed or even lost some of its shine? In posing this question, I must unequivocally state I am in no way passing any kind of comment on those who are listed on the site. Far from it.

I accept, my reason for asking this question is probably more of a reflection on me and my recent use of the site than the site itself.

You may know from my earlier posts two issues directly affect my usage of the site nowadays. Firstly, I rarely see anyone new nowadays for the simple reason I prefer to stick to seeing a very small group of regular ladies only. This is because I find there is a better connection with someone I know well and encounters tend to be more fulfilling.

Secondly, some time ago I became deeply disenchanted with the attitude of some on there, particularly in their misuse of the feedback system. This dissatisfaction has only been perpetuated by any of my all-too-rare recent forays into the site.

Any time I have been on the site in the last year or more, with a view to making a booking, has only been through the use of the Reverse Booking system (Read “Reversal of Fortunehttp://wp.me/p1rllI-9q ). Whilst there have been some nice respondents, I have found there are still too many who like to play mind games or who seem to manifest their own insecurities towards genuine guys.

In my early days on the site, I would spend a lot of time on research. This would entail searching under many different criteria, in many areas and reading all of the relevant Field Reports for my area in an attempt to unearth the jewels out there.

Nowadays, I hardly ever look! If I do conduct a search, using albeit stricter criteria, I invariably draw a blank. Why is this, I often wonder?

I have no doubt there are still plenty of jewels out there. Have I become too discerning, disenchanted or is it something else?

I do find now there are very few ladies in my area with the level of feedback I would need to see to assist me in drawing a favourable view. Then there seem to be more profiles which are active for only a short period of time. I know this has always been the case, but there seems to be more of it.

The other area I have noticed a change is in that there seems to be a low percentage of well-written and informative profiles. This makes it much harder to draw an impression of the lady concerned, so I am afraid, if it is brief, incomplete or poorly written, it is quite simply a non-starter for me.

There are some excellent profiles and it is easy to see why these ladies are popular. They are articulate, they invest the time in giving us gents the information we need to know and give a good window into their world and the type of experience one can expect. Of course, this also benefits the ladies too, not only in the number of potential bookings they are likely to receive, but, I believe, in the quality too.

I mentioned earlier my use of Reverse Bookings. However, it would be more accurate to say how many of these actually result in me seeing someone. In the last 9 months, I have probably posted between 8 and 10, yet I have seen just two ladies. On all of the other occasions, I did not see anyone at all. The bookings which did occur were both not at all as I had hoped for! One lady was inherently different from her profile and we did not click, whereas the other lady rather let herself down with her style of communication and ruined the prospects of any further meetings.

I have no doubt Adultwork is still a good portal and maybe, if I were to see anyone new again, I need to either go back to doing more thorough research again, or to find a different way of working. Maybe though, it has changed? However, I think, in truth, the greatest change has been in me.

  1. From reading the post, I would agree that what has changed most is you. I’m sure your points are valid, but with time comes change…change of views, taste, beliefs etc, which shape how we see, react and think about certain things.

I would say your change in this regard is more like fine wine, you’ve been doing something for awhile, you usually get better at doing it as time goes along and what used to appear as fine wine is no longer seen that way {true or not} mainly because time has shaped how you see things which no longer are agreement with past views. Another insightful read.

I can relate to this and agree with Domenick’s comment. I feel like my tastes have become more refined

AW is still a great site but the search becomes more difficult as your tastes change and become more honed

I’ve stopped using Adultwork-too much hassle, mate

Adultwork is still a great website and I wouldn’t be anywhere else.

I’m glad you’re still positive about it, as I was worried what your take was gonna be when I saw the title.

Take your time if you ever do look for any one else. Love your blogs!
